Vista uses modular hardware for easy installation

Installation of the Vista equipment is straightforward and lends itself to DIY installation. The digitiser board must be fitted into the computer and its software drivers installed from the CD.

The camera is mounted above the monitoring position, either on the ceiling or a suitable bracket, and its power supply is plugged into a mains outlet. A video cable connects the camera output to the digitiser board in the PC. The Vista software is then installed and after performing a simple calibration procedure the system is ready to go.

Camera: This is a sealed unit that comes with a mounting bracket. It can either be mounted directly to the ceiling or on a suitable bracket attached to a wall or pen divider. It comes complete with a small AC power adapter and video output connector.

Digitiser board: This is fitted in the computer and will handle up to 4 video channels meaning 4 pens can be monitored at the same time. This can be expanded up to 16 channels with additional digitiser extender boards.

The video signals can be switched using an optional video switcher. This allows different pens to be monitored on different days, spreading the cost over a greater number of pigs.
