ID Logger™ Features

The ID Logger is a pocket sized, battery-operated portable computer with built-in antenna for standard "FDX-B" and "ISO FDX-B" transponders, designed for easy and reliable data collection in the field.  The built-in antenna used by the ID Logger has a read range of about 8 inches. 

The ID Logger has a real time clock so entries can be date and time stamped. Standard memory is 512K.  Transfer of data uses an RS232 cable which is supplied.

One screen of the ID Logger includes password protection and battery charge status. Batteries have more than sufficient power for normal use. Recharging is quick using the battery charger provided. A belt-mounted holster is also available for quick and reliable storage. 

Ergonomically designed, the ID Logger is comfortable to hold and easy to operate (even with gloves) without too many, confusing keys. It can contain several large databases for adequate on-the-spot decision making. Individual attention messages are reported automatically by means of an audible signal when the animal is identified.

The collected information is stored in the internal databases which can later be transferred to a PC. An existing PC-database can also be transferred to the data logger for consulting and editing in the field.

The database structure is user-defined by means of the supplied PC-tools software and easily accessed with various search and scroll functions. A real time on-board clock enables fast and reliable date and time registration in the database.
