ID Logger™ Operation
Data is collected in ID Logger data bases that transfer directly to the main
record keeping program on the farm PC. New or edited data is kept current
automatically. Current farm information can be loaded on the ID Logger for
reference in the pig house. Complete information is immediately available for every
animal where and when it is needed.
The ID Logger is easily set up or modified by the user with PC-LOG, a simple
software program that organizes and labels the ID Logger
data tables. These tables can match the requirements of each user and database.
Individual Animal Identification
The first entry of each table column is usually the animal ID number. The ID
Logger has a built-in antenna to read the ear-button responder. A
"read" is shown by a green lamp and a "beep" The
"read" automatically moves the screen to the identified animal so its
information is immediately available to be read and updated. Alternatively, some
producers who are not yet ready to convert to electronic identification can
enter a visual ID into the table manually and still enjoy all the other
advantages of the ID Logger and the e-LOG system.
